I really enjoyed my stay at The Birdhouse. Nicely sized, very well decorated and equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is amazing and there’s central heating. The hosts were extremely helpful and kind. Me and my dog both felt very welcome. Locations is stunning with a lot of nice walks nearby and quite close to the main village by car.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay at Creek Cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and exploring the local area. We enjoyed playing the board games and watching some classic movies in the evening. This is such a peaceful location and cottage. Amazing sunsets. We look forward to staying here again in the near future.
We had a really wonderful time at Beachcomber… a stunning house in a lovely location – we have already had interested friends ask us if it was as good as it looked in our photos!
Green Cottage is absolutely beautiful cottage over 200 years old. Holds so much character. Pubs, chippy, shop and beach on the doorstep. Central location to explore, we only scratched the surface and will be back.
We stayed with friends in this lovely spacious house which had everything we wanted. Outdoor cinema, plunge pool, sun bathing spaces, quiet places and a fantastic view over the river. A short walk to local cafe/bars or a hop on the water taxi over to Portugal. We had a great time and are busy planning a return to Casa Verde next year.
We had a fantastic stay at Kathleen’s Croft, loved the views from the cottage. Thank you for making this such a homely place. The sun shines as we leave and we hope to be back again.
I had a wonderful stay at The Birdhouse. The home was decorated lovely and everything was comfortable. The home was very clean and well stocked for guests. I really enjoyed the location, it is very secluded and it’s a bit of a drive, but the drive is absolutely stunning. Applecross itself was lovely. I would definitely recommend and would gladly stay again.
We have had the most wonderful week at Creek Cottage! Glorious warm sunshine allowed us to have beautiful evenings outside eating dinner in the private back garden or watching the birds fly over the marsh from the front garden. The circuit walk along the pebble beach, as well as the heath walks further inland, allowed us to get our daily steps in without needing to get in the car. We really recommend lunch at Cookies Crab Shop where you can find a huge array of fresh seafood dishes (we had the Smoked Salmon & Crayfish Salad and the Salmon Royal Salad with a side of buttery new potatoes – amazing!). The Dun Cow has a wind protected secret back garden where we enjoyed gin and tonics on a rather blustery day! Other than some walks and couple of visits to surrounding eateries we were based in the house which provided everything we needed for a comfortable and very enjoyable week – the number of jigsaw puzzles and boardgames can keep you entertained for days, as well as the separate TV room with its many DVD options. Thank you so much for the best holiday we have had in a long time! We can’t wait to come back next year!
We had a blissful week in Casa Verde. We all relished the peace and quiet, fabulous views, wonderful flower filled walks (or runs in our son’s case!), beach bar drinks, ferry rides across to Alcoutim. We luxuriated on the sun loungers and cooled down in the pool. The weather was hot between 29C and 32C every day! We will be back! Thank you for sharing this wonderful, well equipped house.
A lovely wee place and excellent spot to explore Applecross from. We enjoyed the walk down to the coral beaches and food at the Applecross inn and the Walled garden. A beautiful spot for our wee honeymoon.
