We have had an amazing time here and the weather has been glorious. We may live 10.5 hours away and 565 miles but we will be back to Kathleen’s Croft.
Green cottage is a lovely cottage, nice and cosy. Lovely garden to sit in when it is warm. Perfect place for exploring the coast by foot or bus. Thank you.
We have been hoping to stay at Beachcomber Cottage for a while and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, it was very thoughtful to have included gluten free biscuits in the tray of goodies!! We really enjoyed the bank holiday weekend here, a particular favourite part being reading in the cosy nook up the stairs. Our dog Cocoa has also loved being pampered in all the local cafes!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
A Wonderful Easter Weekend at Beachcomber Cottage – We were a last-minute booking for the Easter weekend, and from the moment we arrived on Friday evening, we knew we had made the right choice. Beachcomber Cottage exceeded all our expectations — bright, airy, and fully equipped for a perfect family getaway with teenagers. The cottage had everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the hot power shower was a real treat after a day out. The spacious main bathroom was ideal for our teenage girls to get ready in, which definitely helped mornings run smoothly! Location-wise, Beachcomber Cottage couldn’t be better — just a two-minute walk from the beach, making it easy to enjoy seaside strolls whenever we pleased. We highly recommend walking into Cromer and back; the coastal views are stunning and well worth the effort. Val had clearly thought of everything. The thoughtful touches throughout the cottage made it feel like a home away from home, and the welcome pack was the icing on the cake. Thanks again, Val — we will definitely be back!
Casa Verde is a unique property in a delightful Spanish village. Our visit was the perfect way to experience the local area and along the river. The Casa was beautifully decorated and fitted out by Val and John. Everything was very clean and well thought through. We enjoyed visiting the bars and restaurants both in the village and a water taxi’s drive away in Alcoutim, across the river. A visit to the village shop is a must, as is a hair raising trip across the river on the zip wire!!

Just wanted to drop you a note to say what a fabulous time we are having. Kathleen’s Croft is such a lovely place, it works really well for our small family. The weather so far has been excellent too, last night we were playing on the beach (with your neighbours) until sunset and this evening we enjoyed an ‘al fresco’ supper.
What a wonderful stay at The Birdhouse. We have loved our time here and exploring the area. Picnicking on the sand beaches were a particular highlight. Huge thanks to Gregor and Kirsten for being perfect hosts. We look forward to coming back again soon.
A very special few days at the Birdhouse. Lovely walks around Applecross’s little townships and we managed to venture into the spectacular Torridonian mountains which have been here a long time – some 400 million years.
